Dear Manager of ABC company:
I would like to thank you for the opportunity of working with you in a sales (sales support or consulting capacity). I have very much enjoyed this experience and feel that I have made a significant contribution to ABC's sales (sales support or consulting) efforts.
However, at this time, I am extending my resignation effective today, March 15, 2006. My last day of employment with ABC company will be March 30, 2006. I have decided to accept a new career opportunity which will begin on March 31, 2006.
This opportunity is with an exciting young company which has strong venture capital and a proven product. In my new position I will manage a group of five sales representatives, have the potential to earn a significant five figure income, and be granted significant stock.
It is my goal to ensure a smooth transition for ABC company during the remaining 2 weeks of my employment. I am in the process of compiling a list of my current clients along with contact information. I would like to review this list with you at your earliest convenience.
I also look forward to introducing you to all of my clients so that client contact continuity will be maintained.
Appendix A of this letter lists the monies which will be due me (unpaid commissions and unreimbursed expenses) on March 30, 2006.
Mr. or Ms. Manager, I wish you and all of my colleagues at ABC company the best of luck in the future.
Sincerely,
|
